Unitron Discover Next: Time for an Upgrade? Find Out Now

08/19/2020 | Hearing Aids

As we entered a new decade in 2020, the world faced unprecedented challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe, changing our daily lives in ways we never imagined. In the political sphere, Joe Biden was elected as the 46th President of the United States. Sadly, we also said goodbye to some beloved figures, including basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

Amidst these global events, Unitron launched its groundbreaking Discover Next hearing aid, introducing a new era of hearing technology. Although no longer the latest model, many users still rely on this innovative device for their daily hearing needs.

What Was Special About the Unitron Discover Next?

The Discover Next represented a significant leap forward in hearing aid technology. Its sleek, modern design housed a powerhouse of advanced features designed to enhance the user’s hearing experience in various environments.

At the heart of the Discover Next was the Tempus platform, utilizing artificial intelligence to analyze and adapt to different sound environments in real-time. This technology marked a significant improvement over previous models, offering users a more natural and comfortable listening experience. While AI in hearing aids continues to evolve, the Discover Next’s implementation was a game-changer at the time.

One of the standout features was Unitron’s Flex technology, which allowed users to make on-the-go adjustments via a smartphone app. This level of personalization was revolutionary, giving wearers unprecedented control over their hearing experience. Today, we see even more advanced app integration and customization options in newer models, building on the foundation laid by devices like the Discover Next.

The Discover Next was available in various styles, including receiver-in-canal (RIC), behind-the-ear (BTE), and in-the-ear (ITE) models. This range of options ensured that users could find a style that not only met their hearing needs but also aligned with their personal preferences and lifestyle.

In terms of connectivity, the Discover Next was compatible with Unitron’s Remote Plus app, allowing for discreet adjustments via smartphone. While this feature was innovative at the time, newer models now offer even more seamless integration with smartphones and other devices, enhancing the overall user experience.

Are You a Unitron Discover Next Wearer?

If you’re currently using the Unitron Discover Next, you’re likely still benefiting from its advanced features. However, as hearing aid technology continues to evolve rapidly, it’s worth considering what newer models might offer in the near future. While your device may still be serving you well, staying current with the latest advancements can ensure you’re getting the best possible hearing experience.

Remember, hearing aids typically have a lifespan of 4-7 years. As your Discover Next approaches this range, it’s a good idea to start thinking about your options for the future. Newer models may offer improved sound quality, better connectivity features, or enhanced AI capabilities that could further improve your hearing experience.
