Q: Where Should I Park?
There are parking spots directly in front of our entrance, so you only have a few steps to get to our clinic.
Q: Where Should I Go Once I Have Parked?
Once you have parked up, please enter through the front door of our suite and turn right. We are located at the end of the hall.
Q: Who Will I Meet When I Walk Through The Door?
Once you enter our office, you will be greeted by Lisa, our friendly Patient Care Coordinator. Please check in with Lisa upon arrival, as she will run through the details needed for your appointment.
Q: What Happens Between Me Arriving And Then Going Into A Private Room With The Provider?
You will be asked for insurance cards, photo ID, and completed paperwork we mailed to you. If we emailed the paperwork to you and you completed online-you are all set!
It’s also important to let us know if you’ve had a hearing test elsewhere as we can pass this information onto your audiologist.
You will also be asked to sign a HIPAA form. This is for you to acknowledge that we, at Duncan Hearing, protect sensitive patient health information and will not disclose any information without your consent or knowledge.
Q: Is There Anything I Need To Do/Prepare Prior To My Appointment?
To keep your appointment as smooth as possible, we ask that you complete the patient questionnaire that was sent to you. If you prefer, we can mail it to your home.
We do ask to please have all forms filled out prior to your appointment to ensure that your appointment runs on time.
Q: Can I Bring A Loved One Or Friend?
Please do! We strongly encourage all patients to bring along a loved one or friend to their appointment.
There is plenty of information that is given out during your visit and it is always helpful to have another person with you.
During some visits the provider may include the loved one/friend in the testing as a familiar voice, so please do bring someone along.
Q: How Long Will My First Appointment Take?
Typically, your first appointment with the provider will take about 40-60min. We do not want anyone to feel rushed or leave without any of their questions unanswered.
Q: What Should I Do If I Need To Reschedule?
We know that emergencies happen, and things come up, but please call our office to let us know you will not be able to make your appointment and need to reschedule. We have patients on our waitlist who would like to be seen earlier.
By giving us advanced notice would allow these patients an opportunity to be seen earlier. We do have a “No Show” policy in place. If we do not hear from you prior to your appointment time and you do not show, there will be a $35 fee on your account.
