Carrie Lewis, Au.D.
Audiologist
Dr. Carrie Lewis is no stranger to the South Coast. Having practiced audiology in the area for more than 18 years, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Duncan Hearing Healthcare.
Dr. Lewis grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she attended school and graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School. Keen to further her education, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from Worcester State College before going on to receive her Master of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 2002.
After working in the South Coast area for 10 years, Dr. Lewis decided to return to school, earning her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from A.T. Still University School of Health Sciences in 2012. She also holds a fellowship with the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
Dr. Lewis has extensive experience working with adults of all ages, pediatric patients, and individuals with special needs. Her primary areas of expertise include diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid recommendations, hearing device fittings, and aural rehabilitation.
No two days are the same for Dr. Lewis. From conducting diagnostic hearing evaluations to counseling, educating, and supporting patients and their families throughout their journey to better hearing, she is constantly balancing responsibilities to meet the needs of those in her care. Hearing device fittings are a key part of her role, and she takes pride in selecting devices that best suit each patient's individual needs and lifestyle.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lewis serves as the office manager at the Dartmouth location, overseeing the day-to-day decisions and duties that keep the office running smoothly and efficiently.
Her passion for family and community drives her commitment to providing patients with the highest possible standard of hearing healthcare. As a valued member of the Duncan Hearing team, she enjoys working alongside friendly, motivated, and professional colleagues who share her dedication to putting patients' needs first. While some days can be challenging, she finds great fulfillment in the work she does and the difference she makes in her patients' lives.
Outside of work, Carrie resides in Somerset with her husband, Jason, their three children, three cats, and a Norwegian Dwarf rabbit. She enjoys cooking, shopping, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family. During the summer months, she especially enjoys relaxing at home and hosting cookouts in her backyard.
