Joe Weisberger, Au.D.

Audiologist

 Joe Weisberger, Au.D Audiologist

Joe began his college years studying engineering at the University of New Hampshire. However, like many young people, he wasn’t initially sure about his chosen career path and questioned whether engineering was the right fit.

Then one day, a friend suggested that Joe should audit some of her speech-language pathology classes. One of the classes he attended had an audiologist as a guest speaker – and this chance meeting soon inspired him to switch gears and change his major.

Joe became fascinated with the audiology field and its seamless blend of science, technology, and healthcare. He transferred to the University of Rhode Island, finished his bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders, and went on to earn his clinical doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

At Duncan Hearing, Joe works as part of a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the best possible experience for our patients. His daily responsibilities include performing extensive diagnostic hearing testing, wax removal, hearing instrument evaluations and selection, hearing instrument programming, tinnitus counselling, and more.

Joe is passionate about helping patients, and improving their quality of life is his favorite part of his job. He shares that seeing how much our services improve communication between family and friends fills his cup, so to speak, and it’s an amazing feeling to witness someone engaging more easily with their loved ones.

Outside of work, Joe’s world revolves around his wife and two young children. When time allows, both Joe and his wife enjoy traveling, as they are always up for an adventure or trying something new.

Joe is also a car enthusiast and loves having fun with friends and spending time at the beach. Some of his other passions include sporting clays, hiking, and attending live music events.
