Yet, for too many in our community, hearing aids remain out of reach. The cost can be overwhelming, leaving people isolated, frustrated, and cut off from the world around them.

What Is Duncan's Gift of Sound?

Every time someone upgrades or donates their hearing devices, we give those hearing aids a second life.

They’re carefully refurbished, retuned, and matched to someone right here in Southeastern Massachusetts who needs them most. It’s not just technology being passed on - it’s connection, confidence, and community being restored.

That’s why we say: help doesn’t stop here ... it echoes.

Donate Your Devices

When you upgrade or have unused devices sitting in a drawer, you can choose to give them new life. Each donation is the beginning of an echo - a small act of kindness that will ripple far beyond you. Our team professionally cleans, tests, and refurbishes every device to ensure it’s ready for its next chapter.

Match Them to Somebody in Need

Not every device is right for every person. That’s why we take the time to carefully review applications from individuals in our community who cannot afford hearing aids but desperately need them. Each hearing aid is matched to a recipient based on their hearing needs, lifestyle, and story. 

This step is about more than fitting a device - it’s about making sure every act of help lands exactly where it’s needed most.

Transform a Life

This is where the echo is heard. Your donation becomes someone else’s breakthrough. A grandmother hears her grandson’s first words. A father feels safe driving again. A neighbor returns to their job with confidence. 

What began as an unused device becomes a restored life - a ripple of change that keeps echoing into families, friendships, and our wider community.

Application Process

For Recipients

  1. Eligibility Form: Provide personal/contact info, hearing test results (if available), and financial situation. 

  2. Statement of Impact: Write a short explanation of how better hearing will change your life. 

  3. Phone Interview: A short call with our team to verify details and discuss expectations. 

  4. Selection & Fitting: If approved, you’ll be matched, fitted, and supported.
