Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, we have all been relying on technology perhaps a little more than usual. With social distancing orders in place and Massachusetts residents predominantly staying indoors, the team at Duncan Hearing Healthcare felt passionate about finding a way to reach our patients who could no longer visit us in the clinic but were in need of our support.
We were proud to introduce our Virtual Hearing Care Consultations. Doctor and patient connect using video calling technology, these complimentary appointments last around 15-minutes and patients who have a question or concern about their hearing, as well as current patients who already wear hearing aids can speak to a professional doctor of audiology, gaining invaluable advice, support, and even troubleshooting by way of remote assist programming.
Virtual Hearing Care Consultations are not the only new system we have introduced to help our patients, we also offer Curbside Care, a drive-thru initiative where hearing healthcare practitioners will clean or fix hearing aids from a safe distance. This has proved hugely popular with residents.
We were all really excited to find out that The Herald News wanted to share these developments with their readers. The article talks about Virtual Hearing Care Consultations, our Curbside Care Service, and also provides a little background about me and how the clinic came to be.
